Blue Mountain

Preface: the recreation of the Golden Lotus (Swordsman)

Since ancient times, many enlightened men have existed. These men had powers that mere mortals could only dream of possessing. So we chose to study them in the hopes that one day we may learn the secrets of their knowledge and power and become Enlightened Ones too.

Once, I too was an ordinary man whose spirit was failing him. I found myself guided by a stranger to the beautiful Golden Lotus. There I discovered many Immortals dressed in garments not of this world. They restored my spirit and from that day on I have been a loyal follower of the Swordsman Clan.

The Swordsman Clan is the oldest of all of the Secondary World Clans. It is said that Whitebrow, the leader, had experienced five disasters in a premonition which led him to form the Clan. In order to find a way to stop the coming misfortunes, he travelled to another dimension. Before long he had carved the Heaven Scripture onto the Oracle Rock, which detailed how to destroy the Demon. As a result, a battle between the Gods and Devils broke out, both fighting for possession of the prophecy. From that point on the Swordsmen Clan was regarded as the leaders of the Secondary World and the fight against Blood Demon became the responsibility of every member.

The High Swordsman told me that in the beginning, Zu Mountain fell into so much trouble because the powers of Evil were stronger than those of Good. This put all of the five Clans into grave danger. The South Sea became surrounded by Evil Forces, so the Moonmaidens had to flea to Desert City. Sky Lake fell under the power of Evil and the Bead Fairies were forced to take refuge in Holy City. At the same time the Sun Warriors of the North found themselves under threat from the Dragon Lord, himself. His powers were far too strong for any of the Warriors to consider trying to defeat him. And to complicate matters further the Chief of Desert City, Lord Daluo, had not yet fully recovered from his wounds and so could not deal with the Evils. Whitebrow, the Leader of Holy City, left the City to find a way to exterminate the Demons. With both leaders unable to defend their cities they quickly fell into dire peril. It soon became apparent that only by joining forces with each other, could the five Clans ever hope of freeing themselves from such Evils.

Since I had also become a member of the Secondary World it was my duty to protect the training group, with my life if necessary.

Preface: the recreation of the Golden Lotus (Bead Fairy)

Since ancient times, many enlightened men have existed. These men had powers that mere mortals could only dream of possessing. So we chose to study them in the hopes that one day we may learn the secrets of their knowledge and power and become Enlightened Ones too.

Once, I too was an ordinary man whose spirit was failing him. I found myself guided by a stranger to the beautiful Golden Lotus. There I discovered many Immortals dressed in garments not of this world. They restored my spirit and from that day on I have been a loyal follower of the Bead Fairy Clan.

The Bead Fairies used to be the protectors of Sky Lake. But after the death of Saint Maid, the Shadow Taoist took Zhaolan hostage and demonized the Disciples of the Bead Fairies, with the aim of eliminating the entire Bead Fairy Clan. To defend themselves against this tragedy, Zhaolan’s sister Zhaoyu journeyed to Holy City to unite with the Swordsmen and retake Sky Lake.

The Jade Pool Fairy told me that in the beginning, Zu Mountain fell into so much trouble because the powers of Evil were stronger than those of Good.

Chapter 1: Strange Poison

Blue Mountain is a site to behold and the climate is perfect many who visit choose never to leave. If you look skywards you can see Holy City and the fresh spray from the waterfall invigorates and replenishes. It is the magical place where my training began.

Under the directions of my Master I learned all of the basics of my training. But it was not long before he had taught me all of his knowledge; it was time to continue my studies by myself. So I went down the mountain and set off for the legendary Zu Mountain.

As I approached the Bridge of the Heaven Waterland I met Yunhuan. She told me that her friend Yanq had been poisoned and she needed my help to cure her. So I set out to find the Thorned Fruit from the Dire Apes, as only this could provide the antidote. When I had collected it I gave it to Yunhuan and she cured Yanq. However, it was not as easy as we had thought, it turned out that many other Disciples of the Bead Fairies had been poisoned too…

Chapter 2: Gourd

The spirits of the poor Bead Fairies had been trapped inside the magical gourds of the Whelkmen. But why did these Demons despise the Fairies so? I travelled to the Dawn Mount Bell with the aim of defeating the Whelkmen and collecting their gourds. However, I had not taken into account the power of the curse binding the prisons. Even the mighty Fengxin was unable to release the trapped spirits from their jails.

In order to know the undisclosed charm to opening the gourds I went to the Dark Snailmen, who had created the curse. But naturally, they refused to help me and they became very aggressive towards me. I had no choice but to defeat them.

Even though all of the Disciples had been freed Fengxin still looked worried.

“The birds have been turned into Demons, my precious Yanq had been poisoned and my sister Bead Fairies were place in a state of confusion and confinement. It appears that our problems are not over but only just beginning….”

Chapter 3: poisonous water

Qiyi was of the view that the behavior of the Demons was at least in part down to the water from the Paradise River. They must have drunk some of the poisoned water which had affected them in the most unexpected ways. This was the root of Fengxin’s worries.

Determined to find out the reason for this atrocity I journeyed to the river and collected a sample, which I then gave to Qiyi. He confirmed that the water was poisoned. But, alas was unable to find the antidote to such a dastardly toxin.

We had no time to waste, Qiyi went back to Holy City to ask the Medicine Master for help and I returned to Fengxin to tell her all the details.

As soon as she found out what was going on, Fengxin decided that we should close down the source of the Paradise River; the Water Dragon Cave at Sky Lake. All of this would be possible with one very special key…

The Last Chapter: Key

The key was essential for controlling the Water Dragon Mechanics Room in Sky Lake. I went to the Sunless Building to find Zhanlin, who was the keeper of the key.

Zhanlin expressed her sorrow when she found out that I had come for the key. For the Delicate Sack that she carried all of her possessions in had been stolen by the Flying Stone Apes. And they had taken the key with it.

The Flying Stone Apes were the most hateful kind of Demon imaginable. They had tricked Zhanlin by giving her an empty sack and given the precious key to their leader. The only way to solve this problem was to go to Slungshot Cave and negotiate with him. He refused to give it to me, so I had no choice but to fight with him. Once he was defeated I retrieved the sack. Zhanlin appeared happy to see the Sack again but, upon taking the key to the Jade Pool Fairy it turned out that things were not as easy to sort out as we had previously thought…
